Subject: about the kids dinner

Just a note to go along with the photo's I uploaded. Some of the kids in our neighborhood had been promised a camping trip but it got cancelled two days before it was to happen. Emily McConnell and I decided to give them something special to take the place of it. The kids all received special invitations to a dinner and movie at my house. When they arrived they were escorted to the dining room and seated as though by a maitre'd in a high class establishment. Their menu choices where explained to them with a fun British accent and exotic exchanges were made (for example Dr Pepper became Doctor Zivago). Once the orders were taken, beverages (served in fancy martini glasses) where replenished and they were served their meals. They all sat around chatting as grown ups do over a nice meal. After dinner they were offered entertainment (a Japenese Animated movie) in the den where they also enjoyed popcorn. During an intermission they all regrouped in the dining room to indulge in a delicious dessert plate of various cookies. A good time was had by all!
