Suki: Yay! (10/29/04)
Well, we made it...2613 miles later, we are in Boston, just in time to celebrate the Red Sox World Series victory! (sorry, anti-sports people- I couldn't resist). If you've never travelled cross country with 3 unhappy cats in the back, it's an experience you need to live for yourselves. The drive was long, but had its beautiful parts. Eastern Ohio, West Virginia and Pennsylvania are incredible this time of year, the fall colors were in full bloom, with the treetops shrouded in fog. It made me realize that I love the desert, but I have missed the change of seasons. Our stuff arrived Wednesday, intact save for a few furniture jams and scrapes. Karen and I want to thank you for your prayers and well wishes, it was great to be sent off with prayers. We will miss you all, and will keep in touch via the web and hope to visit often. We will visit some churches over the course of the next few weeks until we find the one that feels like home. I'll keep you posted on that, and in the meantime I'll try and come up with the next controversial blog that will get everyone thinking! (or angry-hopefully not)
Peace in Christ,
Gary

Hooray!
Glad you guys made it safely. That you made it at all is to be celebrated, considering your feline companions.
And I can't think of a better time to arrive in Boston than the week of the Red Sox victory in autumn.
Enjoy the beauty! We miss you already & are praying for you in your transition.
Sue
