Subject: A.M. Lord's Prayer

My early morning troubles began about two years ago when I started to consider my alarm clock going off as a “suggestion” to get out of bed. We have two clocks Steve made that chime every 15 minutes. I would lay there in that glorious semi conscious, warm, comfy place, hear the chimes playing and know the number of minutes past the hour that had gone by. I would contemplate such profound thoughts as “Would it be in my best interests to call in sick today?” Next, for at least a year, I found it worked to just count to ten to force my dead weight to become light enough to move. Now I have a better way to start my day! I say the Lord’s prayer. Our Father, who art in heaven, Hallowed be thy Name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, On earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, As we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, But deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever and ever. Amen.
